Terms and Conditions

Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Current Events Hub. By purchasing a subscription, creating an account, or using the site, you agree to these terms.

Current Events Hub provides subscription-based educational resources for teachers and schools. Access is provided according to the membership tier purchased.

Membership Options

We currently offer three subscription types:

Individual Monthly

This subscription gives one named user access to the site for one month from the date of payment.

Individual Annual

This subscription gives one named user access to the site for one year from the date of payment.

Department Annual

This subscription gives a school department access to the site for one year from the date of payment and includes up to 10 user accounts. These user accounts must be for teachers at the same school.

Each user account must have its own username and password. For Department Annual memberships, authorized users may access the site at the same time, provided the total number of accounts does not exceed the number included in the subscription.

Account Use

Subscriptions are for the exclusive use of the person or school department that purchased them.

By subscribing, you agree that:

  • Individual subscriptions are for one person only.
  • Department subscriptions may only be used by staff within the subscribing school or department.
  • Login details must be kept secure.
  • Usernames and passwords must not be shared outside the permitted users.
  • You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account or accounts.

Any evidence that account details have been shared beyond the permitted users may result in suspension or permanent termination of access without refund.

Payments and Subscription Period

Access begins once payment has been successfully processed.

  • Monthly subscriptions last for one month from the payment date.
  • Annual subscriptions last for one year from the payment date.
  • Department Annual subscriptions last for one year from the payment date.

Where automatic renewal is enabled through the payment system, the subscription will renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

Unless required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable once access has been granted.

Use of Site Materials

All materials on the site are provided for the subscriber’s own educational use during an active subscription period.

Subscribers may use site materials for teaching, planning, and classroom use within the scope of their subscription.

You may not:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute site materials outside your own permitted use
  • share paid materials with non-subscribers
  • upload site content to shared public websites or resource banks
  • sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any content from the site
  • repackage or present the materials as your own product or service

For Department Annual memberships, internal use by the authorized users in that department is permitted. Redistribution beyond that department or school is not permitted.
