Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the most underrepresented regions in global classroom resources — and one of the most important for understanding the 21st century. This collection draws on cases from across the continent, examining democratic governance, economic development, conflict and peacebuilding, environmental justice, and human rights with the same analytical rigour applied to every region on this platform. Lessons are designed to move students beyond surface-level or crisis-focused narratives toward genuine conceptual understanding of how power, legitimacy, and change operate across diverse African contexts.
